Beckett’s Table

Step into Justin Beckett’s eponymous Phoenix restauarant and you’ll immediately feel at home, ready to dig into a comforting meal evoking flavors of good ol’ American cooking. Welcome to Beckett’s Table. Beckett's Table InteriorOpened in 2010, Beckett and his wife Michelle teamed up with long-time friends and sommeliers Scott and Katie Stephens to breathe new life into Phoenix’s dining scene with a concept that was both innovative and inviting. Located between the Biltmore and Aracia corridor, the restaurant is tucked along a bustling thoroughfare, its neon sign welcoming diners to its doors.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by an expansive wrap-around patio, where seats are a hot commodity, especially on those gorgeous Phoenix nights. Inside, the restaurant’s signature black walnut community table is front and center, setting the tone for the rest of the space, which features dark leather and concrete touches.

And then there’s the food. Described as a chef-driven collection of seasonal American cooking, the menu is filled with comfort cooking at its best—from the super creamy grits and bacon Cheddar biscuits, to the cast-iron chicken and Beckett’s signature fork-tender short ribs.

As dedicated as he is to cooking good food, Beckett is just as dedicated to sourcing a majority of his products from local purveyors—such as Crow’s Dairy, Schreiner’s Sausage, and McClendon’s Select—and Arizona wineries and craft brews.

In the true spirit of coming together, Beckett’s Table hosts wine and community dinners, as well as special holiday menus to help celebrate those special occassions. And during the summer months, the restaurant hosts the Grown-Ups Table, an intimate dinner for 16 guests featuring a themed, four-course menu.

Since opening, Beckett’s Table has earned a number of well-deserved awards for its exceptional service, menu and wine list. The restaurant won a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2013 and 2014, and was named Best New Restaurant by Phoenix Magazine in 2012. Beckett was also nominated for Best New Chef by Food & Wine in 2012.
