Gallo Blanco Cafe located in the Garfield historic neighborhood downtown Phoenix. Our specialty is Mexican cuisine with emphasis on Mexico City type eateries. Serving up amazing brunch on the weekends. Full bar with unique libations great for happy hour. Our pride is our dedication to procuring local ingredients and working with local farms.

ABOUT THE CHEF

Doug Robson

Doug Or Duglas as His friends call him was born and Raised for the first 11 years of his life in Mexico City. His adolescence was spent in San Antonio texas. He moved to Phoenix to go to culinary Doug Robson's passion for cooking started while living in Mexico City with his French-Vietnamese Mother. While in Mexico City he explored their native cuisine, as well as, learning Vietnamese cooking from his mom. After attending the University of Texas for Psychology, Doug and his wife moved to Phoenix to pursue his culinary career. While going to culinary School, Doug began working at the Phoenician with various James Beard Award Winners. Doug continued working with some of the Phoenix’s top chef's. Before opening Gallo Blanco Cafe & Otro Cafe, Doug was an instrumental in the development of 4 culinary ventures in Phoenix. La Grande Orange Grocery, La Grande Orange Pizzeria RAdio Milano and Chelsea’s Kitchen.
