Q: When do tickets go on sale for the Devour Culinary Classic 2020?
A: For members of Desert Botanical Garden, SAACA, or a Localist with Local First Arizona: November 1, 2018 For the general public: November 9, 2018
Q: How do I get “Early Bird” ticket access (between Nov. 1 and Nov. 9)?
A: Become a member of Desert Botanical Garden, Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance or Localist with Local First Arizona if you are not already. Once you are a member, you will receive instructions via your registered email a unique link or code from your respective member organization.
Q: Do I need to be a member of all three organizations to qualify for early access to Devour Culinary Classic tickets?
A: No, you only need to be a member of one of the organizations but your membership must be current at time of purchase.
Q: If I am a member of any of the three organizations, is there a discount for the Devour Culinary Classic?
A: There will be no discounts available, however, members of Desert Botanical Garden, Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance or a Localist with Local First Arizona. will get the first chance to buy their tickets before they are available to the public.
Q: Is there a limit on how many tickets I can purchase for the Devour Culinary Classic?
A: There is a (6) ticket maximum when purchasing.
Q: Does my Devour Culinary Classic package ticket include both days of the event?
A: No, each package ticket is only valid for the date that you choose. To attend both days, you will need to purchase a separate ticket for each date.
Q: Do I get a discount for purchasing both days’ tickets?
A: No, each ticket must be purchased at full price.
Q: How much are Devour culinary Classic tickets?
A: There are two different levels of tickets available. Each admits one guest for the day chosen. More details on package “perks” and descriptions can be found here.
“The Tasting Package” - $105 : This package can be likened to our General Admission ticket offered in previous years.
“VIP Package” - $205: This package is for those wanting the most exclusive experience, with access to new event features.
Q: Is there a difference between a Saturday and a Sunday Devour Culinary Classic ticket?
A: Each day has a different selection of restaurants and chefs in participation, regardless of package purchased. Those interested in choosing their day of attendance based on their favorite lineup of restaurants or favorite chef should visit our Talent page.
Q: Does my Devour Culinary Classic ticket include access to Desert Botanical Garden day of the event?
A: Yes, your ticket provides admission into Desert Botanical Garden and the ability to access all Garden trails. The butterfly exhibit will be closed.
Q: Do I have to purchase a ticket if I don’t partake in the samples?
A: Yes, access to the event is exclusive to guests whom purchase tickets.
Q: What organizations does the Devour Culinary Classic support?
Q: Are Devour Culinary Classic tickets tax deductible?
A: The tax deductible amount of your ticket purchase is limited to the excess of the amount contributed over the fair market value of the ticket less any associated taxes and fees paid. You should work with your tax professional to determine the tax deductible amount (if any).
Q: Will food and beverage be available for purchase at the Devour Culinary Classic?
A: The only place where food/drinks will be available for additional purchase is at the Hensley/Quench Wine Sale, where all guests may opt to purchase from an exclusive selection of wine and spirits available at discounted prices. Otherwise, all food and drink (50+ restaurants, food artisans, and beverage vendors each day) for the event is included in the ticket price.
Q: What items are prohibited from the events?
A: Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: outside food and beverages, drugs, weapons, backpacks, large bags and suitcases.
Q: Will there be food to fit my dietary restrictions at devour week events?
A: We cannot guarantee that participating chefs, restaurants, or bartenders will prepare dishes without common allergens, including nuts, dairy, gluten, etc. Additionally, not all events will have vegetarian options available. It’s important to always ask whether or not certain allergens or food items are in the dishes you are going to consume.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: As a general guideline, we suggest “smart casual” attire for our daytime events in the Desert Botanical Garden. The Garden has uneven terrain, with long walking trails, please wear comfortable shoes. Hats, sunscreen and water is suggested.
Q: Will pets or service animals be permitted into Devour Week events?
A: Service dogs with appropriate vest and/or tag are permitted. Pets are not otherwise permitted inside of the Desert Botanical Garden.
Q: What happens in the case of bad weather?
A: Devour Week events take place rain or shine. All tickets are non-refundable.
Q: Will the Garden be open to the public during the Devour Culinary Classic?
A: No, the Garden will be closed to the public all day, both days of the event.
Q: Will Gertrude’s/Garden Shop be open?
A: No. Both Gertrude’s and the Garden Shop will be closed during both days of the Devour Culinary Classic.
Q: I have a restaurant, artisan food business, or beverage company and would like to participate in the Devour Culinary Classic. How can I do so?
A: All interested participants must apply to participate at the Devour Culinary Classic, please complete the contact form below. Please note that Devour is an invitational event and simply applying does not mean you will be accepted. Space is limited. If you are not a restaurant, artisan food business, or beverage company and/or would like a larger role within this event, please refer to our Sponsors page.
Q: Are children permitted to attend events?
A: Due to all events being open-sampling and for the safety of all involved, no one under the age of 21 is permitted to attend any Devour Week event.
Q: I'm a ticket holder of a Devour Week event, but can't find my Lyft discount code. How do I retrieve this?
A: Your Lyft code will be on your ticket confirmation email. If you do not receive it, please email us.
